Preston High’s 25th Annual Fashion Show

On Wednesday March 11th PHS hosted it’s 25th annual fashion show in support of nutrition for learning and the senior’s dinner. Weeks of rehearsals, fittings and preparation definitely paid off in this successful showcase of Preston’s spirit.

The show began with a dance number to Madonna’s legendary hit ‘Vogue’, performed by the several choreographers who created all of the numbers for the show. In the various numbers throughout the night, local stores were showcased such as Warehouse One, Jean Machine, Plato’s Closet, Bluenotes, The Gap, The Bay (or was it the bae? Who knows.), Boathouse, and Sophie’s.

A highlight of the night was the Bluenotes boys group that had everyone laughing at their fire dance number to “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars, “Raise Your Glass” by P!nk, and Ke$ha’s “Timber”. The boys sported incredible facial expressions and lived by the phrase “Dance like nobody's watching”. The members of this group also interacted with various audience members making the night even more special for those watching.

Value Village also brought the house down making vintage look cool again with plaid shirts tied around their waists and washed out jeans. Mimi Ngo stopped mid way through for a stomping stomp number, which caused the audience to become silent in awe. To finish the stellar performance Emily Crosby did the worm across the stage which was hilarious and a perfect end to the routine.

The teachers surprised the audience with an unannounced routine showing off their Panther pride in Preston spirit wear. Being the typical young trouble makers they are, Ms. Crosby initiated a dodgeball fight on stage, Mme. Leclair was busy doing her nails, and Mr. Krawchyk tuned everyone out with his sick beats (literally, he was wearing Beats headphones).

Overall it was a great night that wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work from Mme. Leclair, seniors Yerie Park and Allison Cranwill, and all others involved.
