Preston Improv Team Goes to Regionals

The word was “dainty”. That’s all the PHS Improv Team members had to work with last Tuesday when they asked the audience for a word to describe their favorite cartoon character. Preston hosted its very first Canadian Improv Exhibition night on March 31st. After polling the audience for skit suggestions, improv teams have to think on their feet with lightning speed and play off one another’s ideas for an entertaining, occasionally awkward, and mostly hilarious impromptu skit about anything (or nothing). Preston’s improv team, along with six other schools participated in a friendly competition in preparation for this week’s Canadian Improv Games. Preston will be competing in 4 events on Tuesday April 7th in hopes making it to the semi finals on Saturday. The 5-day competition will be held at the University of Guelph with the winners advancing to nationals to be held in Ottawa. Come on out support our very own improv team.
